Crawdaddy Baits was born out of a simple frustration: the inconsistency of soft plastics on the market by Frankie Van Gelder and his wife Tabby. Frankie, a passionate bass angler and tournament fisherman, found himself constantly sorting through packs of soft plastic baits where quality was hit-or-miss. Too often, that meant wasted time, wasted money, and wasted time not fishing.

The simple thought of “Why don’t we just pour our own?” — quickly turned into a passion project. Together, Frankie and Tabby began designing baits with the performance, durability, and reliability Frankie wished he could find in stores.

From those first pours, Crawdaddy Baits has grown into more than just tackle. It’s a brand built on quality, consistency, and a love for bass fishing. Every bait is crafted with the tournament angler in mind — tested on the water, refined through experience, and trusted when the pressure is on.
